Trihedron founder, director and keen strategist, Manuel da Silva has a wealth of metrology application skills garnered from 18 years of working in the mechanical engineering domain, ranging from automotive and automation to the aerospace industry.

With a core focus in coordinate measurement and process control applications, he has worked as an applications specialist and project manager focusing on ZEISS’ industrial measurement technology product range.

Manuel is skilled in a wide range of software products and metrology equipment from tactile to optical and has been involved in many global and local installations.

Always goal oriented, collaborative and flexible in his approach, Manuel focusses on quality and strives to bring value to Trihedron clients through supplying expert and sound services and building a reputable name in the metrology, automation and mechanical installation industry.

Trihedron director and automation specialist, Juan Slabbert, has worked in the automation sector for more than 10 years, with his focus being in the automotive manufacturing industry. After starting out as a full time controls engineer, he quickly found himself in demand as a consultant for OEM companies across the Americas.

Apart from being recognised and included as a preferred supplier to one of United States’ leading systems integrators, Juan’s accomplishments include being well versed in a number of industry software packages and having completed not only his engineering diploma from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, but also internationally recognised PLC Siemens Pro and ABB Robotic certifications.

Always eager to improve and expand the company, Juan brings with him a considerable global network of customers and freelance engineering professionals stemming form his time spent on Body Shop installations.

He is an ambitious lead generator with excellent communications skills, qualifying him with the perfect balance of technical knowledge and sales capabilities.

Trihedron director and veteran engineer, Hardus Viljoen, has worked in a range of engineering, including the automotive, FMCG, tire and rubber, and aerospace industries. As an accomplished control systems engineer, he brings to the table a collection of strengths gained by working in demanding and fast-paced local and global environments.

Hardus is a fully qualified electrical engineer with international certifications and has become an expert in a vast scope of engineering software packages. Due to his committed work ethic and keen mentorship skills, he has had the experience of successfully running large teams of engineers.

Hardus is an entrepreneur and has owned his own automation business and readily imparts the lessons learnt with the rest of the team. He is a passionate mentor of young engineers as he believes in uplifting individuals and the industry as a whole.
